Alignerr alternatives that post a rate on every role

If you are leaving Alignerr, the platforms below state a rate on each posting and screen with an AI interview or an assessment. Alignerr is a Labelbox-led network with a public board of 5,624 roles, where individual listings show anything from $10-35/hr to $40-120/hr. We do not list Alignerr and earn nothing if you apply there. The platforms below pay this site a referral fee if you are hired through our link, and your pay is unaffected.

Why people look elsewhere

Alignerr’s process page does not say whether interview or assessment time is paid, and neither it nor the Labelbox payment FAQ states a minimum payout. The payment FAQ says Alignerr bills weekly and pays “by the following Friday,” lists several billing modes, including pay-per-task, pay-per-accepted-task and hourly, and says only one payment provider is enabled per country, so you cannot choose between Stripe and PayPal. Its rules page says contributors who “consistently produce poor quality work” face consequences, including a ban.

People who have worked on Alignerr report stretches of weeks or months with no project after onboarding. That is a report, not something Alignerr publishes. Our Alignerr guide covers what its pages say and what applicants describe.

A listed rate is not promised hours or income on any platform below. It says what a role pays, not how much work reaches you.

If you have a professional or scientific background

56 law roles (lawyers, pay up to $400), 54 medical roles (doctors and clinicians, $40–450), 154 finance roles (accountants, $30–300), 34 in life sciences (up to $200) and 14 in physics ($35–200).

If you work in software or data

Browse software engineers (91 roles, $25–300), data analysts (15 roles, $30–350) and machine learning engineers (22 roles, $60–280).

If you speak another language or transcribe audio

Alignerr’s language and transcription listings show $10-35/hr on its board. Here, bilingual speakers have 84 open roles (up to $200) and transcribers have 14 ($8–36). Each posting names the language it needs and the countries it is open to.

If you have no particular specialism

Generalist roles number 50 right now, with pay $8–180.

How the listed platforms screen and pay

micro1 lists 220 open roles with 18,949 stated openings, pay $6–400. You apply to a role and sit one AI interview of 20 to 40 minutes; many roles need no prior AI experience. It pays monthly or twice monthly, through Deel or Stripe. See the micro1 platform page.

Mercor lists 202 open roles, $15–450, with a median advertised ceiling of $85 an hour. Screening is a resume, role assessments, work-authorisation verification and one AI interview of about 20 minutes, with up to three retakes. It gives no general time to a decision, and pays weekly on Wednesdays through Stripe. See the Mercor platform page.

SME Careers lists 185 open roles, pay up to $150. Every rate is a maximum, and many roles pay a different maximum in each country. Screening is a CV application and a recorded AI video interview of about 15 minutes; grading usually takes one to two business days. It pays weekly through Deel for approved work. See the SME Careers platform page.

Terac lists 43 open roles, mostly one-time sessions, interviews and surveys; many pay a fixed fee instead of an hourly rate. AfterQuery lists 47 roles for domain experts, with a four-step process that ends in a skills assessment in your field. Turing lists 15 roles, runs proctored tests on some of them and says an interview is typically required. See the Terac, AfterQuery and Turing pages.
