What AfterQuery is

AfterQuery describes itself as a platform that connects domain experts with AI training and evaluation work. It hires professionals across many fields as remote contractors to help push the capabilities of AI models.

We are not part of AfterQuery, we do not recruit for it, and we are not its agent, representative or partner. How we earn from this sets out the one commercial link there is.

What the work involves

It is project-based contract work, not employment. It is remote. AfterQuery says rates are transparent and set upfront; the roles we track state pay per hour.

What a working week looks like, how much work reaches you once you are on a project, and how long a project runs are not stated on AfterQuery's public pages, and we have not done the work ourselves.

What it pays

Across the 51 hourly AfterQuery roles we track, listed rates span $15–200 an hour in US dollars, exactly as each posting states them. That is a span, not an average. The only pay figure we ever show is the one on the posting. We do not estimate, and we do not convert currency.

How the screening works

AfterQuery's public pages describe a four-step process: create an account, complete an interview (live or asynchronous video), pass a short skills assessment in your domain, then get invited to matching projects.

No prior AI experience is required. AfterQuery says it provides clear instructions and guidelines. How long it takes to hear back after the assessment, we do not know.

Who can apply

AfterQuery says it welcomes experts worldwide, though availability of projects may vary by country. Roles span many domains: finance, law, software engineering, medicine, data science, humanities, cybersecurity and others.

Most roles ask for professional experience or an advanced degree in the relevant field. Read the role description before the pay.

Is AfterQuery legit?

AfterQuery is a real company with public role postings and a working application process. Its site says it has paid out over $1 million to experts. That is what we can verify from the outside, and it is all we claim.

We have never been hired by AfterQuery or done paid work for it. This page carries no testimonials and no placement numbers of our own, because we have none we could verify.

What we do not know

These are the questions we cannot answer yet.

• The payment schedule. When and how often AfterQuery pays for completed work. Its FAQ says payouts are fast and reliable; the exact cadence and method are not stated publicly.
• How long approval takes. The gap between completing the skills assessment and being invited to a project.
• How much work there is. How many projects reach a given expert once they qualify, and how long each project lasts.
• Referral programme details. AfterQuery has a referral programme, but its public pages do not state the fee structure, attribution window or terms. We will update this section when the details are confirmed.

How we earn from this

This site is paid by referral programmes, and nothing else.

It never changes what you are paid, and it does not decide what appears here: we list every role we find, whether or not it earns us anything.

The rest of the mechanics, as AfterQuery's terms set them out:

• Credit requires the link. Attribution only happens if you apply through the referral link. There is no retroactive credit.
• AfterQuery controls the programme. It may modify or discontinue it at any time.

What happens when you apply

The apply button sits on each role page, never on a page meant to be shared. Pressing it sends you through our own /go/ redirect, which records that a role was clicked (no cookie, no personal data) and then on to AfterQuery.

AfterQuery's referral link does not open a single role. The button takes you to AfterQuery through our link; find the role by name from there.
