micro1 is looking for National Park Rangers and visitor services staff to help evaluate and improve AI systems on national park topics. You’ll use your visitor experience to check that questions sound like real park visitors and that answers are correct and useful. Accuracy comes first. No AI experience is needed; your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Review sample national park questions and flag any that don’t sound like what real visitors ask.
- Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on park passes, entrance fees, permits, and reservations.
- Cover park regulations, visitor safety, and trip planning questions in your rubrics.
- Evaluate AI-generated answers against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
- Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.
Required Qualifications
- Current, former, or seasonal National Park Service experience (park ranger, interpretive ranger, or visitor services staff)
- 1+ years answering visitor questions or working with passes, permits, reservations, or fees
- Working knowledge of park regulations and visitor safety
- US-based
- Able to start quickly and commit 15-25 hours/week
- Clear, precise writing
Nice to Have
- Experience with digital reservation and pass systems (such as Recreation.gov)
- Experience delivering interpretive programs
- Experience creating guides, FAQs, or training materials
- Experience helping a diverse range of visitors, including rural and non-English-speaking guests
