In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This is an opportunity for seasoned fire dispatch professionals to share their practical knowledge of prioritizing and routing emergency requests while applying standardized protocols in high-pressure environments. Expertise in both written and verbal communication will be essential in providing clear, actionable feedback and data for AI development.


Scope of Work


  1. Receive and analyze simulated or real-time emergency requests, determining urgency and allocating appropriate resources based on established protocols.
  2. Apply triage skills to prioritize incoming information from multiple communication channels, ensuring timely and accurate routing.
  3. Utilize standardized checklists and dispatching scripts to maintain procedural consistency and compliance with best practices.
  4. Document scenario responses and communication flows in a clear and structured format for AI system learning.
  5. Evaluate, critique, and suggest improvements to protocols or automated responses generated by AI models.
  6. Collaborate with project coordinators to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and operational objectives.
  7. Provide concise feedback regarding the effectiveness and clarity of AI-generated communications.


Preferred Qualifications


  1. Significant experience as a fire dispatcher, emergency communications specialist, or equivalent.
  2. Exceptional multitasking abilities, including managing simultaneous requests via radio, phone, and digital platforms.
  3. Proficiency in applying, following, and interpreting standardized emergency protocols and checklists( APCO/NENA certification).
  4. Demonstrated capacity for clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication.
  5. Ability to work effectively under pressure and make rapid, accurate prioritization decisions.
  6. Familiarity with the unique challenges and workflows of emergency dispatch environments.
  7. Experience contributing to training, evaluation, or improvement of operational procedures is a plus.
