Role Title: Video Editor

micro1 is engaging Video Editors to contribute expertise to a dynamic project focused on educational and robotics media for AI training. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This opportunity centers on 3D/CGI video editing and animation, leveraging your visual storytelling skills to create impactful digital media content.


Scope of Work

  1. Edit and assemble high-quality 3D/CGI video content using any tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
  2. Apply motion graphics, animation, and visual effects to enhance storytelling, with a focus on robotics and educational media.
  3. Implement audio editing and audiovisual compositing to produce polished, immersive final outputs.
  4. Organize and manage complex project files in line with modern post-production workflows and remote collaboration best practices.
  5. Incorporate feedback efficiently to iterate on assets and align deliverables with project goals and client needs.
  6. Contribute to the creation of AI training datasets by preparing and optimizing video assets for machine learning applications.
  7. Remain current with industry trends in video engineering and digital media to ensure innovative, relevant contributions.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Extensive experience editing 3D/CGI and animation-based content within professional environments or client projects.
  2. Proficiency with any leading video and audio production tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer.
  3. Demonstrable skills in visual storytelling, animation, motion graphics, and computer vision for media projects.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication abilities, especially in remote and asynchronous collaborative contexts.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail and a solid foundation in project organization and post-production workflows.
  6. Proven ability to integrate feedback and deliver highly polished, technically sound multimedia assets on deadline.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in any field is required; advanced experience in video editing, digital media, visual effects, or related areas is highly valued.
