Role Title: Senior Journalist / Writer
Role Type: Contractor
Location: Remote
About the Role micro1 is partnering with a leading AI lab to hire experienced journalists, editors, and writers from top publications. This is hands-on editorial work: evaluating AI-generated writing for clarity, accuracy, structure, and style at the standard of a professional newsroom, and creating reference work that sets the bar.
Scope of Work
- Evaluate AI-generated writing for quality, accuracy, tone, and structure
- Write and edit reference pieces that define excellent output
- Provide detailed editorial feedback and rewrites
- Help shape writing standards for AI systems
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as an editor, writer, or journalist at a reputable publication (WSJ, NYT, Reuters, or comparable), with at least part of this experience within the past 7 years
- Undergraduate degree from a top-ranked university
- Based in an English-speaking country
- Exceptional command of written English
