micro1 is engaging Criminal Defense Attorneys (BigLaw Firms) to contribute to a customer’s project focused on legal innovation. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Analyze complex criminal law scenarios and provide detailed frameworks for resolution.
- Draft, review, and refine legal content, including pleadings, motions, and trial strategies.
- Assess case materials to identify key legal issues, arguments, and procedural considerations.
- Evaluate ethical dimensions of criminal defense practice and outline best practices for AI learning modules.
- Deliver expert commentary on trial advocacy techniques and courtroom procedures.
- Create high-fidelity simulation exercises reflecting real-world legal practice for use in AI model training.
- Collaborate with project managers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure accuracy and relevance of deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive background as a criminal defense specialist in BigLaw or major law firms.
- Proven litigation and trial advocacy experience in complex criminal matters.
- Exceptional skills in legal writing, analysis, and reasoning.
- Strong grasp of ethical standards and best practices in criminal law defense.
- Experience reviewing, preparing, or teaching case strategy and procedural safeguards.
- Familiarity with technology-assisted legal research and digital case management.
- Track record of contributing to professional development, legal education, or innovation initiatives.
